A professional athlete’s career begins before he is drafted by a professional team, and during this period of time there are many important decisions to be made that can drastically alter where he is drafted or whether he is drafted at all. Therefore, it is equally important to have a team of experts who not only possess a great wealth of experience in contract negotiations but who also understand how the draft works and how to position each athlete in the draft. Different athletes require different strategies before the draft to allow the athlete the opportunity to move up in the draft. We call this process the “Pre-Draft Strategy,” and at SSG we are second to none in developing and implementing this strategy.
The SSG strategy consists of hands-on training with some of the best trainers in the country, as well as private workouts with top position coaches. We utilize our combined 40 years of experience and contacts in professional sports to benefit our clients in several areas, including putting together film on each player to address the perceived weaknesses in a player’s game. From the first combine grades - National and Blesto - to the last, we are constantly aware of what scouts and teams are saying about our clients so that we can make sure the right things are said in the media and that the correct information is sent to all of the teams.
When SSG has completed its Pre-Draft Strategy, the client can rest assured that no stone is left unturned, and the player and his family will be very well aware of what to expect on draft day. Our track record shows that our pre-draft strategy is better than anyone’s in the business because of the results on draft day. A player’s draft status can indeed be increased if the right pre-draft strategy is designed and implemented.
